Sustainable Development Goals

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), are a universal call to action to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity.

These 17 Goals build on the successes of the Millennium Development Goals, while including new areas such as climate change, economic inequality, innovation, sustainable consumption, peace and justice, among other priorities. The goals are interconnected – often the key to success on one will involve tackling issues more commonly associated with another.

SRS recognises that our planet faces massive economic, social and environmental challenges.  Governments worldwide have already agreed to these goals and we believe that the it is time for business to take action.

How?

The SDGs present an opportunity for business-led solutions and technologies to be developed and implemented to address the world’s biggest sustainable development challenges.  The goals are diverse in nature and specifically designed to ensure that no matter how large or small, niche or diversified, your business will have an impact in at least one of these areas.  The SDG's are designed to be compatible with strong corporate governance and help drive new business opportunities through active risk mitigation.

SRS are actively reviewing our activities to see how we can contribute to the SDG's and are proof that the SDG's need not just apply to large multi-national corporations and we encourage all SME's to become active agents of change.  An abundance of online resources to help you in this journey exist and SRS would be happy to connect you with professional partners to discuss in further detail.  Two of the most accessible steps for businesses considering this for the first time are:
